Looking for a job- Subbing isn't working

I am on the substitute list for two different schools.  HomeSchool and ST School.  Total between the 2 I've subbed maybe a total of 2.5 days.  That isn't a lot considering I have been on the sub list for almost a month.  I heard that HomeSchool is constantly looking for subs.  I wonder why now all of a sudden it is a big difference.  Probably because of all the snow days that the schools have had, teachers aren't using personal days, or even sick days for that matter.  They are way behind, and need to be in school to catch up.  I'm just hoping that I can catch up with the money flow here come spring, when teachers hopefully want to take personal days.

The job look isn't quite working out in my favor either.  Minnesota has a website that posts school related jobs here, and I think it is wonderful.  I check it on a daily basis.  I am also peeling my eyes open when papers come out, and on the schools websites.  I think anyone (around here anyways) are ready to post.  I hear one school, about 35 miles from where I live is hiring two teachers.  I heard this from my boyfriends mom, who is a Para at the school I student taught at.  I'm hoping it is true, and that I have a chance at getting it.  I'm also keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that HomeSchool is hiring.  I know that ST School is not hiring, as they are cutting positions (para positions, and lots of them- between the two school-elem and hs- they are losing 6-7 maybe more). So hopefully, I can find a position! :)

Wayyyy tooo long!

So I have obviously finished student teaching, I have also finished my degree, and received my license in Elementary Education.

No other news, other than I have subbed for the first time last week, and I will be changing the name of my blog to something different, as I am no longer a student teacher!

I will hopefully update more often- or as subbing positions/teaching positions arise.

Back to healing my back injury/being tired of not having Jr. High Basketball practice due to the schools closing because of the snow/weather!  GRRR
